Are you the Righteousness of God?

1Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God about the Jews is that they would be saved. 2For I can testify on their behalf that they have a zeal for God, but it is not in keeping with full knowledge.”

This full knowledge is not informational but relational! Informational knowledge is the gnostic knowledge but relational knowledge is receiving the love of God and loving God!

Knowledge puffs up but love builds up. We all have knowledge but, we don’t all have love. If anyone says they love God but, do not love their brethren they are lying! How can we claim to love God whom we do not see when we do not love his children that we do see? Because God is love and loving God requires knowing his love which manifests in love for others!

It’s this true love for God that the Jews lacked. They had zeal to do the right thing but, it lacked relationship with God; which is encounters with love.

3For, being ignorant of the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness.

It’s ignorance of God’s righteousness given to us forever (in the spirit) that causes a person to refuse to submit to Go’s righteousness. I sought God’s Kingdom and His righteousness with legalistic zeal for 2 years before I realized I was only trying to establish my own righteousness!

4For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.”

Christ is the end, the culmination; the completion of the LAW to anyone and everyone who believes…Jew or Gentile!

13But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. 14For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, 15by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace, 16and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having put to death the enmity. (Eph.2)

The old has gone. The new has come. There is ONE NEW ADAM in Christ! The LAW has been abolished to us because we were crucified to the LAW with Christ and now Christ is our life! (Gal.2:18-21)

The Old things were according to outward works of the flesh and the new things are permanent righteousness in the spirit by faith working through love. God’s grace is his divine power through Holy Spirit which energizes us to do his will! Now we reign in life through Jesus Christ as our Lord for God’s glory!

The Lord is more than our salvation; He is our righteousness. He is our sanctification and He is Here He was Emmanuel; God with us and IS God within us! These are all Old Covenant Names (characteristics) of God revealed in Jesus to us! It was better for Jesus to leave so Holy Spirit could come live inside us; God in us and us in God!

Jesus is Lord of Lords and King of Kings and Holy Spirit is the same Lord of Lords!

17Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.” (2 Cor.3)

Holy Spirit is Lord and He is the One presently transforming us into the same image (Jesus, the image of the invisible God) because we are brethren of Jesus!

We must intimately know how awesome God is towards us to see Him more clearly and find our true life; our identity in Him! Do you have an awe of God? Such “Fear of the Lord”, complete reverence and adoration of Him that you seek things above more than things below? Don’t neglect the greatness of your salvation and fail to enter his rest; like the ungrateful Israelites. The Promised Land is given to those who delight in the Lord with all their being!

4Such confidence we have through Christ toward God. 5Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God, 6who also made us adequate as servants of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.” (2 Cor.3)

Ministers of the Spirit through Christ because of God! Our ability is directly from God by the Spirit which gives life! Even life and life more abundantly…now!

8how will the ministry of the Spirit fail to be even more with glory? 9For if the ministry of condemnation has glory, much more does the ministry of righteousness abound in glory! (2 Cor.3)

The ministry of condemnation is according to outward works which profit nothing according to righteousness but the ministry of the Spirit bears the righteous fruit of love. Even if we were able to perform every visible good work; if we did not do it in completely selfless love, it would profit us nothing! I must admit that I am only a babe growing in this…

BUT,The glory of God is for us now (to Him) as we abound in glory by the ministry of the Spirit of God!  Christ in us the hope of glory!

12Therefore having such a hope, we use great boldness in our speech, 13and are not like Moses…

Moses’ ministry was fleshly. Things that could be seen, touched, smelled…our ministry of the Spirit; righteousness, reconciliation is an all-consuming Fire. A Kingdom that cannot be shaken! The Kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit! The Kingdom is within you! Rivers of Living Water flow from deep within those who believe and don’t depend on their own human/worldly understanding or wisdom but in Christ in us!

In Christ is hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge of God! Christ in us is the mystery of God revealed! Christ IN US IS the Hope of glory!

14But their minds were hardened; for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remains unlifted, because it is removed in Christ. 15But to this day whenever Moses (think Scriptures) is read, a veil lies over their heart; 16but whenever a person turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.” (2 Cor.3)

Which Paul summed up in 1 Cor.2 this way ~ “my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God.”

Paul continued in this profound chapter to declare that human wisdom cannot comprehend this power, the mystery, glory and wisdom of Almighty God in us! But, it’s not simply proper doctrine…it is the reality of Jesus’ very same life and power granted to those who believe and whether we accept it or not; we are a completely New Creation which is already created in righteousness, holiness and truth. We are instructed to simply renew our minds in this truth by intimacy with God.

10and have put on the new self who is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created him— 11a renewal in which there is no distinction between Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave and freeman, but Christ is all, and in all.

We are a completely New Creation; unlike anything that has ever existed before! We re all renewing our minds in the truth of who God really is by intimate relationship (true knowledge) and the more clearly we see who He is; we see ourselves IN CHRIST and who he has recreated us to be…the light of the world!

16Therefore from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer. 17Therefore if anyone is in Christ,he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come...21He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Whoever is in Christ is completely free! We no longer perceive each other by what we see but in faith of who God has already recreated us… A new creation, the righteousness of God! He has made all things new in our spirit and He is currently making all things new (soul and body)! Rise and shine for your light has come, the Lord God Himself has risen upon us and His glory is being revealed in us! (Isaiah 60:1-2)
