Isaiah’s Revelation

I have a large homework assignment from the York Prophetic School (which is an amazing God-send!) for this month. I am going through my favorite prophet (or 2nd favorite in this case because John was too large of a task) and writing what I believe the Lord shows me….

I believe Isaiah 1:1 describes that his entire writing is “one vision” (of the manifestation of Jesus to Israel) that the Lord gave him within the times of 4 kings of Judah.

I believe almost all of this was fulfilled by Jesus when he walked the earth in the flesh even until 70 AD (See Luke 20:21-24) when the Romans destroyed Jerusalem and the Old Covenant system/ Judaism (the harlot hated by the beast ~ Rev.17:16-17)
He describes the destruction on Israel and the release of the New Covenant (which is Mt.Zion or “New Jerusalem” ~ Heb.12:22 & Gal.4:22-26)
2:2 ~ ” 2Now it will come about that
In the last days
The mountain of the house of the LORD
Will be established as the chief of the mountains,
And will be raised above the hills”
~ Christianity started with Jesus and 12 guys. The Rock/Cornerstone that struck the statue of Daniel 2 was Jesus and the “foundation stones” built upon him are the Prophets and Apostles (Eph.2:20-21 & Rev.21:14). Daniel prophesied that the Rock would become a Mountain (Mount Zion) that fills the earth because the Kingdom of God was a tiny seed that is currently growing into the largest tree in God’s garden (earth).
3And many peoples will come and say,
“Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD,
To the house of the God of Jacob;
That He may teach us concerning His ways
And that we may walk in His paths.”
For the law will go forth from Zion
And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
Every knee WILL bow and every tongue swear allegiance to Jesus as Lord for the glory of God! In the Old Covenant, Israel was the exclusive recipient of God’s blessings but, now every nation is blessed through Abraham’s seed in Christ!
5Come, house of Jacob, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.
In the O.T., the emphasis was on Torah being the light of the Lord but, Jesus’ Words are spirit and life! The Spirit is the light of life and we walk in the Spirit of God! When we do that, “The unfolding of His Words brings light!” even to this day a veil could Cover our eyes if we depend on our own understanding but when we turn to the Spirit (who is Lord) he gives us freedom and the veil is removed! The Spirit of God brings life to the letter!
6For You have abandoned Your people, the house of Jacob…
I know it says God abandoned His people but, I think he is simply describing the “last straw” when the Jews and their leaders demanded the blood of Jesus to be on them and their children and rejected Jesus as King but, declared Caesar their only king! Wow.

19Men will go into caves of the rocks
And into holes of the ground
Before the terror of the LORD
And the splendor of His majesty,
When He arises to make the earth (land) tremble…..

21In order to go into the caverns of the rocks and the clefts of the cliffs
Before the terror of the LORD and the splendor of His majesty,
When He arises to make the earth (land) tremble.

John seems to reference this in Revelation 6:15 and Jesus declared it concerning the judgement that happened in THAT generation of Jews and their children (Luke 23:30)

Isaiah has dozens of chapters of judgement on Israel and the Jews (because they rejected Jesus, killed him and his followers and THAT generation was guilty of their blood) but, the end of the book finishes with the glory of the New Covenant, which has been here for almost 2,000 years!
