The Prophet John (The Baptist) recognized the purpose of the Word of God and declared ~ “Behold, the Lamb of God, who is taking away the sin of the world!”
The Blood of Jesus according to Paul was so powerful that His one single demonstration on the Cross reconciled the entire cosmos! “18Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, 19namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.” ~ 2 Cor.5
Our message is not “Turn or Burn”, it’s “Change the way you think about God” (repent) and receive God’s complete forgiveness from all your sin! All sin has been forgiven because Jesus accomplished a divine exchange (reconciliation) of HIS very own righteousness for our sins!”20Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 21He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” ~2 Cor.5
Jesus didn’t simply die FOR you; He died AS you! He took your spirit man into his death, burial and resurrection with Him! “14For the love of Christ compels us, having concluded this, that One has died for all, therefore all have died. ” ~ 2 Cor.5
John understood it too! 1 John 2:1My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; 2and He Himself is the propitiation (Atonement) for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world.”
WHY would Jesus die for the sins of the whole world; not just the godly or those who would believe but, the whole cosmos!? Because God is love.
16For so greatly did God love the world that He gave His only Son, that every one who trusts in Him may not perish but may have the Life of Ages.~ John 3:16 and Romans 5:8 ~ “8But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
God’s will for the world was redemption because of His unfailing love! The whole earth is filled with his faithful love!
That doesn’t mean that there are other inferior realities that oppose God’s love. They exist for a short season. However, the superior reality (as Bill Johnson refers to it) is what God sees! What do we see?
Will we see with an eye that doubts love’s ability to prevail over all evil? Or will we accept God’s superior reality of victorious love? God is love. Does love fail or does love win?
Will we dare to believe with child-like faith that God’s love literally never fails and that God’s promises are true? Will we choose to truly believe in God’s brilliant plan to manifest his multi-faceted wisdom through us to the higher powers?
Isaiah foresaw the accomplished victory of Jesus that has come ~ ”
9“Remember the former things long past,
For I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is no one like Me,
10Declaring the end from the beginning,
And from ancient times things which have not been done,
Saying, ‘My purpose will be established,
And I will accomplish all My good pleasure”
It was like the “trailer” or teaser to “the Revelation of Jesus Christ” which John saw almost 2,000 years ago! He saw that Jesus IS the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End”. He saw clearly that Jesus is God and did accomplish the Father’s perfect will!
38because I have come down out of the heaven, not that I may do my will, but the will of Him who sent me. 39‘And this is the will of the Father who sent me, that all that He hath given to me I may not lose of it, but may raise it up in the last day…” John 6
The Father’s will is good for all of His creation. Complete reconciliation. Complete redemption. Watch the power of the Blood of Jesus!
“19For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, 20and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven.” Col.1
Remember that John the Baptist (a prophet) had declared God’s will was that the Lamb was taking away the sin of the world!?
Did Jesus accomplish what He was sent to do?
8“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the LORD.
9“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways
And My thoughts than your thoughts….
11So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth;
It will not return to Me empty,
Without accomplishing what I desire,
And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it. ~ Isaiah 55
God was not talking about a Book; as much as I love The Bible (The biblios or The Books); Jesus is the Word which has accomplished all that He was sent to do!
Only a Man could reconcile all mankind and the world but, no man could do it without God. The ONE Man who was God and Man has done it!
Rev.5:5“Stop weeping; behold, the Lion that is from the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome! 6Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain…
Behold, the Lamb of God who is taking away the sins of the world HAS prevailed!
The responsibility to release forgiveness of sins is completed on God’s part so that we now hold the keys! Simply say similar to Jesus did ~ “Father I forgive them, for they know not what they do!”
John 20:”21So Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” 22And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23“If you forgive the sins of any, their sins have been forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they have been retained.”
We cannot forgive sins if their sins are not already forgiven. We are not higher than God. For us to be able to forgive sins on earth; they have to be completely forgiven in Heaven.
Heb.10″18Now where there is forgiveness of these things, there is no longer any offering for sin.”
God has done his part. The Once and for all Blood of Jesus was enough. He is waiting for us to do ours.
